Ham Hocks In Sauerkraut Polish Style
Ingredients
- 3 large ham hocks
- 2 cups sauerkraut
- 1 large onion sliced into thin rings
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cover ham hocks with water.
- Simmer 1 hour; drain.
- Add sauerkraut, onion, sugar, and pepper; return to heat.
- Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until meat falls off bone.
