Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine the peaches, 1 cup sugar, and water in a saucepan and mix well.
  3. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat.
  5. Put the butter in a 3-quart baking dish and place in oven to melt.
  6. Mix flour, baking power, and salt thoroughly in bowl.
  7. Add remaining 1 cup sugar and milk slowly to prevent clumping.
  8. Pour mixture over melted butter. Do not stir.
  9. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup.
  10. Sprinkle top with ground cinnamon, if using.
  11. Batter will rise to top during baking.
  12. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Sift dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening until resembles corn meal.
  3. Blend remaining ingredients and add to mixture.
  4. Roll out to 1/16” thickness.
  5. Bake at 400° 6-8 minutes. Makes approx. 5 doz. 2 ½” cookies.

  1. In a bowl, combine flour and confectioners' sugar; cut in butter until crumbly.
  2. Press into an ungreased 9-inch square baking pan.
  3. Bake at 375 for 15-18 minutes or until browned.
  4. Spread jam over warm crust.
  5. In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and milk until smooth. Add vanilla chips; beat until smooth.
  6. Spread carefully over jam layer.
  7. Cool completely. Chill until set, about 1 hour.
  8. For glaze, melt chocolate chips and shortening; spread over filling.
  9. Chill for 10 minutes. Cut into bars; chill another hour. Yield 3 dozen.

Instructions
  1. In large saucepan, bring butter and water to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat; stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, almond extract, salt and baking soda until smooth.
  3. Pour into a greased 15x10x1-inch jelly roll baking pan.
  4. Bake at 375° for 20-22 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool for 20 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare frosting. Sift confectioners' sugar into a separate bowl.
  6. Combine butter and milk in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat; add sugar and extract and mix well. Stir in chopped pecans.
  7. Pour and spread over warm cake.

  2. Put all ingredients except egg whites into mixing bowl. Mix 30 seconds on low. Increase speed to high and beat for 2 minutes.
  3. Add egg whites all at once and continue beating for 2 additional minutes.
  4. Pour into 9 inch greased/floured pans and bake 35-40 minutes.

Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. In 9-inch square pan, melt butter in oven.
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over melted butter.
  4. Arrange pineapple slices over brown sugar. Place cherry in center of each pineapple slice.
  5. In medium bowl, beat remaining ingredients with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly.
  6. Beat on high speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
  7. Pour batter over pineapple and cherries.
  8. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  9. Immediately place heatproof serving plate upside down over pan; turn plate and pan over.
  10. Leave pan over cake a few minutes so brown sugar mixture can drizzle over cake; remove pan.
  11. Serve warm. Store cake loosely covered.

  2. Combine sugar, flour, and salt; add alternately with milk to the yolk mixture, beating well after each addition.
  3. Beat egg whites until stiff. Blend egg whites into batter on low speed of electric mixer.
  4. Pour into 8 inch square baking dish.
  5. Place a pan of hot water in the oven, and set the baking dish into the pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes.

  2. In a large bowl, beat eggs with fresh and evaporated milks.
  3. Mix in uncooked macaroni and 3 cups shredded cheese.
  4. Transfer to slow cooker, and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  5. Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Do not stir or remove lid while cooking.

Ingredients
Butter Crumb Dumplings
Instructions
  1. Form hamburger, sour cream, onion soup mix, egg, and breadcrumbs into balls.
  2. Brown slowly in butter.
  3. Simmer mushrooms and their liquid, Chicken soup, and water for 20 minutes.
  4. Place in 3 qt. casserole dish.
  5. Top with dumpling recipe.
  6. Bake uncovered at 400° 20-25 minutes.
To make dumplings
  1. Mix all ingredients and blend in oil and milk.
  2. Stir in melted butter into 2 cup soft breadcrumbs.
  3. Drop dough by tbls into breadcrumbs, roll to coat.
  4. Place on top of casserole.
